- Key Responsibilities:
- Perform IMDS & CDX activities for Engine filtration products for Global customers.
- Responsible for creating and updating IMDS & CDX databases and ensuring product structure meets customer requirements.
- Extraction and analysis of BOM from Teamcenter PLM and creation of Material Datasheets in accordance with ELV guidelines and IMDS/CDX recommendations.
- Coordinate with Supplier & Quality Engineers at Global level to submit IMDS/CDX as per OEM’s specific requirements.
- Submission of MDS through various tools for customers such as IMDS, CDX.
- Handle multiple customer product stewardship requests (REACH, RoHS, IMDS, ELV & GADSL)
- Software skills like IMDS, CDX (Knowledge of NX and CQPs will be appreciated).
- Coordinate with global engineers to meet or exceed the engineering aspects of the projects.
- Able to deliver on time while doing it right the first time and every time.
- Good English language communication skills.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor of mechanical engineering, Advanced degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IMDS, CDX, Teamcenter PLM and SharePoint a plus.
- Proficiency in using MS Office packages: word processor, spreadsheet, PowerPoint.
- Technical Competence & Skills:
- Knowledge of US and European Union’s product-based regulations and directives, such as RoHS, REACh, CA Prop 65 and GADSL, ELV etc.
- Experience in IMDS domain knowledge in Automotive Industry is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of BOM analysis & product drawing, especially in the Filtration domain.
- Understanding of industry design standards for dimensioning and tolerancing. GD&T a plus.
- Experience with plastic part design, Knowledge of engineering change orders will be preferred.

Relevant Experience:
- 2+ years of professional Engineering work experience & specialization in IMDS, material analysis for various components of supplies, product development and BOM
- analysis.
- Experience in Engine filtration products (Optional).
- Others (% of travel, language, etc.):
- Ability to travel approximately 10% per year.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret the engineering documents (drawings, engineering specifications).
- Ability to respond timely & effectively to the critical inquiries / technical issues or complaints.
- Ability to make effective presentations on regular updates & critical issues to global team.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of global personnel.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
