SunSure Energy Job Description:
- Knowledgeable of civil, electrical, and structural codes and other associated codes used in the project
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with demonstrated problem-solving capability
- Working alongside the project manager, the main responsibility will be monitoring and implementing action plants for the construction process of a 20MWp+ capacity utility ground mounted solar project.
- Acting as a key liaison between I&C contractors, landowners and local communities. Co-ordinate with local subcontractors for various sub-tasks, particularly the civil works, housekeeping, land development, petty purchases and logistics.
- Responsible for preparing daily progress report and activity plan for the next day / week. Estimate the material and manpower requirements and timely communicate the requirement internally. Also, coordinate with the engineering department to seek/ provide inputs associated with the execution work
- Oversee operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards. Ensure that all the SOPs are followed, checklists are duly filled,Work Completion Certificates are signed, Tool Box Talks are conducted and Attendance Registers are updated
- Inspect work in progress to ensure conformity with QA/QC specifications and requirements, Industry Codes, Standards and Procedures, and Client requirements.
- Manage the site-team comprising of Civil Engineer,Electrical Engineer, Stores-in-charge and work in coordination with the client’s Site Manager and the HSE Officers at site.
- Visit customer sites to determine solar system needs, requirements, or specifications. Assist the project/ procurement managers in evaluating subcontractors or subcontractor bids for quality, cost, and reliability
- Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase efficiency during mobilization, execution and demobilization phases. Facilitate minimal usage of local purchases, optimize the machinery deployment for land development works,maximize the funds recoverable from scrap selling, establish the spare inventory at site, selection of most suitable place of residence and vehicle for site team and mitigate the risk of theft / machinery damage
- Responsible for clearing all the I&C invoices & ensuring that once approved, these are shared with the procurement/ accounts team with the supporting documents viz. Work Completion Certificates, Checklists, Material Inspection Reports and Legal Registers (muster roll, wage register, PF/ ESIC receipts)
- Oversee the pre-commissioning checks and tests carried prior to project commissioning as per Sunsure’s policy. Update the punch-point list and PR test sheet on a regular basis and ensure timely handover of the project to client and obtain the Commissioning Certificate
- Communicate with utilities and authority having jurisdictions regarding interconnection, permitting, and other regulatory compliance issues.
- Identify the sources of likely local-problems and proactively take preventive measures to avoid any potential project risks, and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact
- DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
- Proven track record of 10+ years of solar project execution work-ex, including ground mount projects of15 MWp+ capacities and having overseen commissioning of 66/132 kV substations
- Knowledgeable of civil, electrical, and structural codes and other associated codes used in the project
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with demonstrated problem-solving capability
