Responsibilities:
SHIFT HANDLING: Check availability of supervisors and technicians at various substations, Verify previous shift log and instruction book, Follow up jobs of previous shift; Coordinate with Shift manager/Shift engineer for permit isolation certificates and/or any problem related to electrical, Supervise isolation of electrical equipment#s at various substations as per the request, Release isolation certificates through eloto in order to improve the reliability and availability of system equipment .
EMERGENCY HANDLING: Handle emergencies in Electrical System, Restoration of Power by emergency EDG’s system during Black-out condition and restoration of normal power; Troubleshoot and minimize the down time. Take up the role assigned by OIM during emergency; Carry out periodic checks of Emergency equipment#s to ascertain its functionality. Assist Process/maintenance team during emergencies IN ORDER TO facilitate speedy restoration to normalcy in case of emergencies.
STATUTORY COMPLIANCES & AUDITS: Complies with statutory and legal legislations applicable to Electrical System; Assist for carrying out internal IMS audits and implements recommendations of external audits; Carry out checks as per British Safety Council and rectify defects if any. IN ORDER TO meet the statutory requirements.
